Abstract submission


We cordially invite you to participate in the Mexican Meeting of Optics and Photonics, to be held at the Center for Innovation, Research and Development in Engineering and Technology (CIIDIT-UANL) located at the PIIT of Apodaca N.L. on November 16 and 17, 2023.

Therefore, we invite researchers, professionals, and students involved and interested in different areas of optics to submit research papers in the CARTEL modality under the following rules:

  1. The topics to be discussed must fall within the areas listed in the Topics section of this page.
  2. Only abstracts of the papers submitted through this section of the page will be accepted for review.
  3. The abstract must be of one page long, in docx format and written in Spanish or English.
  4. You can download the abstract guide from the button at the bottom of this page.
  5. Abstracts should focus on outstanding and recently obtained research results, providing sufficient detail on the techniques used and the reported results.
  6. Please consider that the conclusions claimed should be clear and consistent.

  8. By submitting an abstract, at least one author commits to registering for MOPM 2023, attending the event, and presenting the contribution.
  9. It is crucial to verify that the information in the paper's title and the authors' names is correct before submitting the registration. Accepted, presented, and defended papers will receive a single participation diploma with the paper's title and the authors' names. The diploma's data will be obtained from the registration.
  10. The abstract submission deadline is October 13th, 2023.
  11. The abstracts will undergo a peer-review process, and the corresponding author will be notified of the acceptance status by approximately October 20-25th, 2023.
  12. Contributions will only be considered finally accepted for presentation at MOPM 2023 after at least one of the authors has completed the registration fee payment for MOPM 2023.
  13. Requirements for the elaboration of the poster

  14. The poster should have an outstanding TITLE, complete NAMES of the AUTHORS, and the INSTITUTION to which they belong, ABSTRACT, INTRODUCTION, OBJECTIVES, METHODOLOGY, RESULTS, CONCLUSIONS, and REFERENCES.
  15. The objective of the poster sessions is the dissemination of different research papers. However, the best poster(s) will be selected for the following awards:
    1. Diana Tentori Santa Cruz Award: Student best poster in Experimental Optics (AMO member).
    2. Jorge Ojeda CastaƱeda Award: Student best poster in Theoretical Optics (AMO member).
    3. The best poster(s) will be announced during the closing ceremony.
  16. Any issues not covered in this call will be decided by the Organizing Committee, and its decision will be final.
